Psychomotor Outcomes:
1)The student will be able to demonstrate proficiency at the poses
covered in class (at a basic level)
2)The student will increase their dynamic flexibility
3)The student will apply forces and exert themselves using rarely
used muscle groups
4)The student will perform proper breathing techniques
5)The student will perform each difficult pose to the greatest extent
of their ability
Cognitive Outcomes:
1)The student will be able to identify poses using the sanskrit
name
2)The student will be able to categorize poses from a list by increasing
level of difficulty
3)The student will be able to sequence three poses according to
a practice
4)The student will be able to list the correct progressions into
a given pose
5)The student will be able to identify some of the major muscles
used in any given pose
Affective/Social Outcomes:
1)The student will able to work quietly without disturbing classmates
2)The student will have fun participating in the activity
3)The student will be motivated to continue the activity outside
of class
4)The student will be able to assist a partner when called upon
to help them with poses
5)The student will develop a greater sense of body self esteem and
appreciation for the art of yoga
